On May 28, the three primary A-share indices closed in unison with declines. The Shanghai Composite Index dipped slightly by 0.02%, the Shenzhen Component Index slipped by 0.26%, and the ChiNext Index fell modestly more by 0.31%. Within the market, notable performances were seen in the beverage, jewelry, and optical module sectors. Shares of Laofengxiang, Chow Tai Fook, Happy Family, and Junyao Health hit their daily upper limits, while Dongpeng Beverage, Cuihua Jewelry, and Sunway Communication Technology recorded gains exceeding 6%. Conversely, sectors such as Contract Research Organizations (CRO), automobiles, and real estate led the market downwards, with JAC Motor shedding over 5%, and Thalys, Chengdu Pioneer Biotechnologies, and Joinn Laboratories all declining by more than 3%.
