In response to the surge of chip orders redirected due to tariff policies, TSMC's Arizona-based chip fabrication facility intends to hike prices for its 4nm chips by as much as 30%. The influx of these orders primarily stems from major tech giants like Apple, AMD, and NVIDIA. Speaking at Computex Taipei, Jen-Hsun Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, defended TSMC's pricing strategy, attributing it to the company's cutting-edge technology. Prior to this, President Trump's tariff measures compelled companies to reroute their chip orders to the United States, thereby fueling the rapid expansion of TSMC's operations in Arizona.
