Recently, Indian company Dixon Technologies reportedly announced during its third-quarter earnings call for 2025 that it had chosen a site in partnership with HKC for the construction of a display module factory. The anticipated production commencement was set for the end of the first quarter or the beginning of the second quarter of fiscal year 2026 (approximately June or July 2025). Nonetheless, HKC promptly refuted these claims, stating that the news was false. Dixon had initially planned to invest between $2.7 billion and $3 billion in the factory to establish a G8.6 generation display facility with a monthly production capacity of 60,000 substrates, intended for use in TVs, mobile phones, laptops, tablets, and automotive applications, among others.
