As of January 21, 13 PCB companies listed on the A-share market have unveiled their 2024 performance forecasts. Notably, six of these firms are anticipated to turn a profit, while eight have either achieved year-on-year growth in performance or reduced their losses. An executive from a listed PCB company emphasized that the persistent surge in AI demand, combined with the impetus provided by the 'Two New' policies, has sustained robust consumer demand for products such as automobiles and mobile phones, thereby bolstering the profitability of the PCB industry. Since the second quarter of 2024, PCB market demand has gradually rebounded, and product prices have likewise exhibited a gradual upward trajectory.

Looking ahead to the industry's development trend in 2025, the executive anticipates that edge AI will accelerate its deployment, with AI-powered mobile phones, AI glasses, and other wearable devices entering a phase of rapid growth. Concurrently, demand for cloud AI will also continue to escalate. As a closed loop gradually takes shape within the AI industry, the sector is poised to enter a virtuous cycle. Furthermore, the deeper implementation of the 'Two New' policies is expected to clarify market demand for high-density interconnect (HDI) boards, packaging substrates, and PCBs for consumer electronics, among others. Manufacturers equipped with advanced technology and sufficient capacity are anticipated to be the first to reap the benefits.
