With the growing demand for multi-port high-speed USB expansion, USB3.2 Gen1 has become the mainstream interface for docking stations, industrial control motherboards, and embedded devices due to its 5Gbps high-speed transmission and backward compatibility. This article presents a standardized design solution for a USB3.2 Gen1 1-to-4 Hub centered around the AWP35817 high-performance 4-port USB SuperSpeed HUB controller chip. It covers four aspects: chip characteristics, application scenarios, key component selection, and PCB layout, enabling engineers to accelerate development, mitigate risks in high-speed signal and power design, and ensure stable, high-speed device operation.
