On October 15, analysts forecasted that TSMC is likely to announce record-breaking profits for the sixth consecutive quarter on Thursday, buoyed by a substantial surge in infrastructure investment within the technology sector. The company’s net profit for the third quarter is projected to climb by 65% year-on-year, reaching NT$746.3 billion (equivalent to approximately US$23.4 billion). Analysts highlighted TSMC’s robust market demand for AI chip manufacturing capabilities and its advanced packaging technology, CoWoS. Should the final net profit surpass NT$706.56 billion, it will mark a new all-time high for quarterly net profit and extend the company’s streak of profit growth to an impressive 11 consecutive quarters.
