Semiconductor industry analyst Lu Xingzhi has pointed out that TSMC is being cautious in its cooperation with Intel regarding wafer foundry capacity and will refrain from readily expanding the collaboration to prevent the inadvertent cultivation of a potential competitor. In the meantime, TSMC is forging ahead with the development of High NA EUV technology in collaboration with ASML and Samsung, yet it has not extended an invitation to Intel to join this endeavor.
