The AI market strengthens, boosting European chip stocks

On October 2, European semiconductor company shares generally rose due to growing demand for artificial intelligence stocks. Previously, memory chip manufacturer Micron Technology released a strong quarterly earnings report and predicted that demand would remain robust for the next several years. In the European market, shares of Dutch semiconductor equipment giant ASML rose by 2.3%, while its competitor ASM International saw a 4.1% increase. Meanwhile, shares of Dutch semiconductor packaging equipment supplier BE Semiconductor Industries rose by 2.6%, German chipmaker Infineon Technologies climbed by 4.6%, and STMicroelectronics also saw a 2.7% increase.
