Intel's next-generation Nova Lake-S desktop processor lineup has been revealed, featuring at least seven Core Ultra 400 series models. The flagship model, Core Ultra 9 4970K BFC, adopts a hybrid architecture with 8 performance cores (P-Cores), 16 efficiency cores (E-Cores), and 4 low-power efficiency cores (LP-E Cores), totaling 28 cores. It also comes equipped with a larger back-end last-level cache (bLLC) and supports vPro technology. The processor series will adopt a new four-digit naming convention and switch to the LGA1954 platform. It is expected to be released in batches starting in 2027, with the initial base versions launching without bLLC cache, followed by large-cache versions with 144MB/288MB bLLC and mid-range to low-end models in the second half of the year.
