As per recent reports, TSMC is in the process of considering the expansion of its semiconductor manufacturing capabilities in Texas. Should this plan come to fruition, it would mark TSMC's second significant advanced manufacturing site in the United States, following its Arizona facility, and could entail further investment atop the $265 billion already earmarked for Arizona. TSMC has already started to see initial returns from its 2-nanometer technology and is ramping up production, with an anticipated monthly output of 120,000 wafers by the year's end. A combination of customer demand and policy incentives is propelling TSMC to bolster its footprint in the U.S.
