On October 1, Micron Technology projected that its capital expenditure would reach approximately $25 billion in the first half of fiscal year 2027, with higher spending expected in the second half. The increase will primarily be allocated to constructing new wafer fab buildings, rather than solely on equipment purchases. Micron's CFO, Mark Murphy, stated that long-term orders provide sufficient demand visibility, and building new factories requires extremely long lead times.
