On September 28th, JPMorgan strategists pointed out that due to reduced investment crowding, strong earnings performance, and more reasonable valuations, tech stocks are expected to regain some upward momentum, attracting investors to reposition. The team led by Mislav Matejka stated in a Monday report that the stagnation in tech stock gains over the past three months has made positions and stock prices more reasonable. Combined with increased capital expenditures and sustained earnings improvements, these factors will support investors in refocusing on the sector. Year-to-date, tech stocks have still significantly outperformed the S&P 500 index, but their gains have slowed in recent months amid uncertainty over the return on massive investments in the artificial intelligence sector. JPMorgan believes that while replicating the first-half gains will be challenging, opportunities still exist. Matejka also noted that a rebound in tech stocks will directly boost the South Korean stock market and indirectly benefit emerging market equities.
