VSMC has officially inaugurated its first 12-inch wafer fabrication plant in Tampines, Singapore. Following the completion of construction, the facility has now commenced trial production. Impressively, the yield rate for the initial batch of wafers has surpassed 99%, setting a solid foundation for the planned mass production scheduled for the first quarter of 2027. By 2029, the plant is projected to achieve a full monthly production capacity of 44,000 wafers.
