The rapid integration of cutting-edge technologies, notably artificial intelligence, has spurred demand across interconnected sectors, propelling the electronics industry into a phase of remarkable profit expansion. From January to August this year, the electronics sector witnessed a staggering 110% year-on-year surge in profits, accounting for an impressive 62.0% of the overall profit growth among industrial enterprises above a designated size, thus serving as a pivotal pillar for industrial growth. Within this vibrant landscape, burgeoning fields such as new energy vehicles, the Internet of Things (IoT), and computing centers have ignited a surge in chip demand. Consequently, the optoelectronic device manufacturing and semiconductor discrete device manufacturing sectors experienced profit growth of 72.0% and 51.8%, respectively. Simultaneously, the electronic basic raw materials segment has flourished, with profits in the electronic specialty materials manufacturing and electronic circuit manufacturing industries soaring by 230% and 49.1%, respectively.
