On September 28, sources revealed that Samsung Electronics is ramping up efforts to construct its inaugural mass production line (Ph1) at the Pyeongtaek fifth campus (P5). The company is currently in discussions with key equipment suppliers to potentially move up the equipment installation timeline for Ph1. Originally slated for the third quarter of next year, the installation may now take place in the second quarter. This strategic move aims to address the escalating demand for high-value DRAM and NAND flash memory in the AI sector and to secure adequate production capacity.
