On September 22, Frank Heemskerk, Executive Vice President of ASML (ASML.O), Europe's highest-valued company by market capitalization, revealed that the company is not currently selling any chip manufacturing equipment in Europe. He pointed out that as countries like the United States, China, and India increase their investments in domestic semiconductor industries, Europe may face the risk of falling behind. Heemskerk stated, 'We have absolutely no sales in Europe because there is a lack of relevant investments and no new chip factories being built.' He emphasized that ASML needs to expand its production scale and cannot be confined to the Netherlands, as countries are fiercely competing to attract ASML to expand in other regions. Therefore, Europe also needs to take proactive action.
