Recently, at the 2026 IICIE International Integrated Circuit Innovation Expo, Chengdu Huami Electronics Technology Co., Ltd. made a significant announcement by introducing its latest innovation—the CSD7984, an 18-bit, 1.33MSPS high-speed, high-precision A/D converter chip. This cutting-edge chip is specifically tailored for industrial automation applications. Its primary target markets include industrial sectors such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), servo control systems, and process monitoring.
One of the standout features of the CSD7984 is its support for SPI daisy-chain cascading. This functionality enables the installation of multiple chips—dozens, in fact—on a single circuit board. This not only conserves valuable IO resources but also simplifies the PCB wiring process, facilitating high-density signal acquisition with ease.
The chip's zero-pipeline delay design ensures that data conversions are output instantaneously. This characteristic plays a pivotal role in significantly shortening the closed-loop control cycle of industrial equipment, thereby enhancing overall operational efficiency.
In terms of input architecture, the CSD7984 employs a 2.9–5V adjustable reference true differential input. This design provides robust suppression of common-mode interference, a common challenge in industrial environments, ensuring reliable and accurate data acquisition.
Furthermore, the chip is engineered to operate stably in extreme conditions, with a temperature range spanning from -45℃ to +85℃. This makes it a resilient and dependable choice for industrial field data acquisition, offering a domestically produced alternative that meets the rigorous demands of modern industrial applications.
