Based on the most recent research on the memory industry conducted by TrendForce, the first half of 2026 will witness an average cumulative hike in NOR Flash contract prices, amounting to a substantial 100-120%. As we move into the latter half of the year, it is predicted that pricing trends will diverge among products of varying capacities. Specifically, high-capacity NOR Flash products, with capacities of 256Mb and above, are expected to experience an average price surge of 90-110% during this period. This anticipated increase is primarily driven by robust demand in sectors such as AI servers and automotive applications, compounded by a constrained supply of new bits from leading manufacturers.
Conversely, in the mid-to-low capacity segment, encompassing products with capacities of 128Mb and below, the release of additional capacity by certain suppliers is anticipated to decelerate price growth for consumer products. This will be followed by a phase of price consolidation at elevated levels, with an expected increase of 10-20% projected for the fourth quarter of 2026.
