On August 29, South Korean President Lee Jae-myung presided over the 'National Briefing on the Three Mega Projects in Semiconductors, AI Data Centers, and Physical AI' at the Blue House, announcing the establishment of a new semiconductor industrial park in the Honam region of southwestern South Korea. Companies such as Samsung Electronics, SK Group, GS Group, and Naver unveiled their supporting investment plans, with the three major projects collectively involving an investment of approximately 1,500 trillion won (approximately RMB 6.585 trillion), marking the largest recent industrial investment in South Korea.
