The three major memory manufacturers—Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron—have informed their customers that their DRAM and HBM production capacities for the entire year of 2027 have been fully booked by tech giants and AI-related companies. Given that there are currently no plans for additional production capacity and major clients have signed long-term supply agreements lasting up to five years, securing future production capacity in advance, the memory shortage is expected to persist until 2030 or even longer.
