Musk's SpaceX plans to build its own natural gas power plant and mega-sized battery array to supply power to the Terafab ultra-large-scale chip manufacturing facility it is jointly developing with Tesla in Grimes County, Texas. The initial investment for the factory is estimated at $16.8 billion, and it is expected to create 3,000 jobs and receive a $30 million grant from the Texas Enterprise Fund. Covering approximately 3,000 acres, the factory will be constructed in phases, and currently, SpaceX has already secured control over more than 13,000 acres of local land.
