According to a report from an investment institution, Barclays suggests that if Google were to revamp its business model for Tensor Processing Units (TPUs) and establish partnerships with major asset management and chip design firms, its external sales revenue could surge to as much as $252 billion by 2028. TPUs are specialized artificial intelligence (AI) acceleration chips developed in-house by Google. Currently, Google primarily offers computing power services via Google Cloud, rather than directly selling chips to data center companies, a strategy employed by Nvidia.
