On July 20, the three major U.S. stock indices saw a collective decline at the close of trading. Specifically, the Nasdaq dipped by 0.05%, the S&P 500 index slid by 0.19%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average tumbled by 0.59%. The performance of large-cap tech stocks was a mixed bag: Tesla and Apple shares both plummeted by over 2%, and Meta saw a slight downturn. In contrast, Intel and Microsoft shares surged by more than 2%, Google and Amazon climbed by over 1%, and Nvidia experienced a modest uptick.
Meanwhile, popular Chinese concept stocks rallied collectively. Alibaba's shares soared by more than 4%, JD.com and iQIYI both jumped by over 3%, and Pinduoduo, NetEase, and Bilibili all rose by more than 2%. However, XPeng Group's shares fell by over 2%, and NIO's shares declined by more than 1%.
