TSMC's Chief Financial Officer, Wendell Huang, has announced that the company is witnessing 'a multi-year wave of surging demand' from clients, prompting it to expedite the capacity expansion of its Arizona factory. Fueled by the explosive growth in the artificial intelligence sector, TSMC has allocated an extra $100 billion in investment, bringing its total investment in Arizona to a staggering $265 billion. Additionally, the company has revised its full-year capital expenditure forecast upwards to the range of $60-64 billion.
