In the dynamic landscape of the global chip supply chain, ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT), a Chinese memory manufacturer, is experiencing rapid growth. According to a report from Citrini Research, CXMT's DRAM production capacity has witnessed exponential growth in recent years, with its monthly output nearly matching that of Micron Technology. By 2025, CXMT's monthly DRAM wafer production capacity is expected to surge to 280,000 to 290,000 units, with an additional 50,000 to 60,000 units projected for 2026, significantly outpacing the industry's average growth rate.
Currently, CXMT operates three 12-inch DRAM wafer fabrication facilities in Hefei and Beijing, boasting a combined monthly production capacity of nearly 350,000 units. To sustain this capacity expansion, CXMT has earmarked tens of billions of yuan for equipment procurement and technological advancements.
Moreover, CXMT has achieved remarkable technological milestones, including stable mass production of its 16nm process, a notable improvement in the yield rate of DDR5 memory chips, and the initiation of mass production for HBM products. CXMT's ascent not only enhances China's stature in the global DRAM market but also propels the localization process of domestic semiconductor equipment.
