On July 10, the unveiling ceremony for the joint laboratory established by Changhong and GigaDevice took place. During the event, the GD531 chip application solution, developed collaboratively by the two entities, was introduced alongside the corresponding (retaining the original term as it may possess a specific connotation within the industry) household air conditioner units. This milestone signifies the remarkable achievements of both parties in localizing core chips for home appliances and facilitating the intelligent upgrade of such appliances. Looking ahead, the two sides will leverage this laboratory to concentrate on three pivotal objectives: firstly, fostering the adaptation and refinement of core semiconductor components, including MCU chips, memory products, and analog devices, within home appliance terminals; secondly, establishing a comprehensive innovation ecosystem to boost the efficiency of technological transformation and enhance product stability; and thirdly, nurturing versatile technical professionals in areas such as chip R&D, intelligent home appliance control, and system integration, in response to the demands of industrial growth.
