On June 26th, the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index, a key barometer of the semiconductor sector's performance in the U.S. stock market, experienced a sharp decline, plummeting by more than 5%. Among the stocks that constitute this index, ON Semiconductor witnessed a staggering drop of over 19%. Applied Materials also saw a significant decline, with its stock falling by more than 6%. Micron Technology, Marvell Technology, and Intel each suffered losses exceeding 5%. Arm and AMD were not spared either, with their stocks declining by over 4%. ASML and TSMC, two prominent players in the semiconductor manufacturing equipment and foundry sectors respectively, also experienced drops of over 3%. Furthermore, NVIDIA's stock price reached a new low point, not seen in over two months.
