SMIC has made an announcement stating that it will issue a total of 547 million shares to five shareholders of SMIC North, among whom is the National Integrated Circuit Fund. This move is aimed at acquiring their 49% stake in SMIC North, with each share being issued at a price of RMB 74.2. On June 23, 2026, the registration process for these newly issued shares was successfully completed. Additionally, the asset transfer procedures pertaining to this transaction were wrapped up on June 12, 2026. As a result, the 49% stake in SMIC North has now been officially transferred under SMIC's ownership.
