On June 24, as the Hong Kong stock market closed for the day, the Hang Seng Index finished at 23,412.18 points, marking a 0.33% increase. Meanwhile, the Hang Seng Tech Index soared to 4,479.02 points, reflecting a robust 1.81% gain. In terms of sectoral performance, semiconductors, software services, and pharmaceuticals emerged as the top gainers. Notably, SMIC and WuXi AppTec both witnessed a surge of over 8%, while Tencent Holdings and Lenovo Group experienced gains exceeding 3% and 2%, respectively. Conversely, the banking, insurance, and automotive sectors faced a downturn, with Guizhou Bank, ZhongAn Online, and Brilliance China experiencing declines of more than 4%, 3%, and 2%, correspondingly. Additionally, southbound funds made net purchases amounting to HKD 15.751 billion.
