According to a report by Cailian Press on June 19, 2026, Amazon is in negotiations with potential customers and plans to sell its self-developed AI chips to other enterprise data centers, challenging Nvidia's market dominance. Peter DeSantis, head of Amazon's AI business, confirmed in an interview in Paris that the company has initiated relevant discussions but declined to disclose the list of potential customers. Amazon's AI acceleration chip, Trainium, launched in 2020, has already attracted customers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Uber, who utilize the hardware through AWS. In April this year, Amazon stated that Trainium has generated over US$225 billion in revenue commitments, with the third-generation Trainium chips almost sold out and strong demand already secured for the fourth-generation products.
