Nichicon, a global powerhouse in passive component aluminum capacitors hailing from Japan, has declared a price hike across its entire lineup of aluminum capacitor offerings. This move is primarily driven by a surge in orders for certain products that has outstripped its production capabilities, compounded by the escalating challenges and costs in raw material procurement amid the turbulent conditions in the Middle East. Taking a cue from this Japanese behemoth's price increase, Taiwanese aluminum capacitor producers like Kaimei, Lelon Electronics, and Chinsan Electronic—all operating under the Yageo Group's umbrella—are anticipated to follow suit and implement their own price adjustments.
