JUN, the leader of Samsung Electronics' semiconductor division, disclosed that he had engaged in discussions with Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, regarding short-term collaboration. These discussions encompassed critical areas such as High Bandwidth Memory 4 (HBM4) and wafer fabrication facilities. Both parties are currently working together on the development of autonomous driving chips utilizing 4nm and 8nm process nodes, as well as NVIDIA's accelerator chips. Furthermore, extensive talks have taken place concerning long-term cooperation, which includes advancements in HBM4E, foundry services, HBM5, and emerging technologies. They have also delved into the potential for foundry collaboration on next-generation chipsets.
