On June 6, the three major U.S. stock indices slid across the board at the close. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 1.35%, the Nasdaq Composite Index dropped 4.18%, and the S&P 500 Index declined 2.64%. Large-cap tech stocks generally declined, with Micron Technology falling more than 13%, Nvidia and Tesla both dropping more than 6%, Meta falling more than 5%, and Apple declining more than 1%. Popular Chinese ADRs also collectively fell, with Baidu dropping more than 9%, NIO and XPeng falling more than 5%, Alibaba declining more than 3%, and Pinduoduo dropping nearly 1%.
