Since 2016, TSMC has been the exclusive foundry for Apple's self-developed SoCs, but this situation may change. Apple supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo recently revealed that Intel has initiated small-scale trial production to supply chips for Apple's lower-end iPhones, iPads, and Macs, with production capacity expected to gradually expand from 2027 to 2028. It remains unclear which specific A-series or M-series chips will be involved.
