According to a report by Nikkei on May 12, 2026, an executive from a chip substrate supplier revealed that due to rising prices of resin raw materials such as methanol and xylene, as well as related solvents, Mitsubishi Gas Chemical, a Japanese CCL supplier, has raised the prices of some CCL products by 20% in the first quarter of 2026. Given the continuous increase in overall material costs, it is expected that CCL prices will rise further. Mitsubishi Gas Chemical confirmed that it has issued two notices of price increases for CCL and prepreg, each involving different product lines.
