Based on reports from CNBC and The Wall Street Journal, following over a year of negotiations, Apple and Intel have tentatively agreed on a chip foundry deal, which has now been officially concluded. Intel is set to produce chips for select Apple devices, disrupting Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company's (TSMC) previously exclusive supply arrangement. After the news broke, Intel's stock price skyrocketed by 13.96%, pushing its market capitalization past the $600 billion mark.
