Bloomberg reports that Apple is in the initial stages of talks with Intel and Samsung Electronics about producing the main processors for its devices, as it seeks alternative suppliers to its long-standing partner, TSMC. At present, these negotiations are still in the nascent phase, and no firm orders have been placed. Apple is currently grappling with a chip shortage, driven by a recent spike in demand for AI data center infrastructure and Mac computers. This strategic move is aimed at easing the strain on its supply chain.
