On April 8, 2026, following the conclusion of wage negotiations between labor and management, LG Display announced the reintroduction of its voluntary retirement program. The program specifically targets office staff with over 20 years of service who are aged 45 or older, as well as employees in R&D and process equipment roles who are aged 50 or above. Under this initiative, eligible retirees will receive a compensation package equivalent to up to three years of their salary, contingent on their years of service. Additionally, they will be entitled to benefits such as educational subsidies for their children. This move is part of LG Display’s broader strategy to accelerate its transition to OLED technology and streamline its fixed costs.
