According to reports from South Korean media, YMTC’s Phase III project in Wuhan is poised to initiate mass production of high-stack-layer NAND Flash memory in the second half of 2026. At present, the final installation of key equipment for this phase is in progress, while the production lines of Phase I and Phase II are approaching full operational capacity. The monthly output of YMTC’s Phase I production line has already hit 100,000 wafers, with the Phase II line contributing approximately 60,000 wafers per month. Once the Phase III project becomes fully operational, the combined production capacity is projected to reach 300,000 wafers per month, potentially surpassing SK Hynix and Micron to secure the third position in the global market.
