TSMC is ramping up its investment endeavors in Arizona, U.S., committing a staggering total of US$165 billion (equivalent to roughly RMB 1.2 trillion). The company has ambitious plans to construct 12 facilities, encompassing 8 wafer fabrication plants and 4 advanced packaging plants. Initially, the blueprint included 6 wafer fabs and 2 advanced packaging plants. However, this latest announcement reveals an addition of 2 more wafer fabs and 2 extra packaging plants, with the entire expansion project slated to continue through to 2030.
