On February 11, 2026, Professor Jianwei Wang and Professor Qihuang Gong from the Institute of Modern Optics, School of Physics, Peking University, in collaboration with Researcher Lin Chang from the School of Electronics, unveiled a groundbreaking research achievement in the prestigious journal Nature. Their paper, titled "Large-Scale Quantum Communication Network Based on Integrated Photonic Quantum Chips," detailed the successful development of fully functional, high-performance integrated quantum key distribution chips and optical microcavity-based optical frequency comb source chips. With these innovations, the team constructed the world's inaugural large-scale quantum key distribution network utilizing integrated photonic quantum chips, christened the "Weiming Quantum Chip Network."
