At GDC 2026, NVIDIA did not release new gaming graphics cards. Instead, John Spitzer highlighted the company's long-term rendering technology roadmap through a keynote speech. NVIDIA stated that compared to the Pascal architecture (10-series) from 2016, the path tracing performance of the 50-series graphics cards based on the Blackwell architecture has improved by 10,000 times. The goal for future architectures is to achieve a 1 million-fold performance improvement over the 10-series graphics cards.
