On March 3, Zhongmin Resources responded to Zimbabwe's recent policy decision to halt the export of raw lithium ore and concentrate. The company confirmed that its production and sales of lithium salt products remain unaffected, with the policy having only a limited impact on its operations. Zhongmin Resources primarily sources its lithium salt raw materials from the Bikita mine in Zimbabwe and currently holds an adequate inventory of domestic raw materials. The company is actively engaged in discussions with the local government concerning the export ban, expressing the belief that the measure is primarily aimed at curbing smuggling and fostering the development of deep processing capabilities. In the long run, this policy is expected to benefit mining companies that possess formal qualifications and operate with legal mining rights. Furthermore, Zhongmin Resources is accelerating the construction of a lithium sulfate production line in Zimbabwe. Establishing a local plant is anticipated to reduce costs, aligning with the company's long-term strategic interests.
