On February 11, foreign media outlets reported that Song Jae-hyuk, President and Chief Technology Officer of Samsung Electronics' semiconductor division, announced on Wednesday at Semicon Korea that Samsung Electronics has reclaimed its premier status in the memory industry, thanks to its cutting-edge HBM4 technology. This achievement marks a reversal of the company's previously declining stock price. Earlier in January of this year, a senior Samsung executive had publicly endorsed the idea of a 'Samsung resurgence,' further fueling market optimism that Samsung's next-generation HBM would be embraced by NVIDIA, the leading AI chip manufacturer. Samsung is set to initiate mass production of HBM4 this month, with NVIDIA anticipated to be its inaugural customer.
