Today, a press conference themed "Guangdong's Achievements during the 14th Five-Year Plan Period" was convened, with a particular focus on the development of a modern industrial system. Zhu Wei, Deputy Director of the Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission, highlighted that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Guangdong's emerging industries have exhibited robust growth. Specifically, in 2025, the province's integrated circuit production surged to 94.24 billion units, marking a significant 152% increase from the 2020 baseline. Additionally, the core artificial intelligence industry is projected to reach a scale of RMB 300 billion. Guangdong also stands at the forefront of the nation in terms of industrial and service robot production. Notably, civilian drone production witnessed a remarkable 39% year-on-year growth, accounting for an impressive over 90% share of the national total.
