For several months running, the prices of memory components and solid-state drives (SSDs) have been on a relentless upward trajectory, with spot market prices soaring two to threefold. Projections indicate that prices are set to escalate by more than 50% in the first quarter of this year alone, imposing a significant financial strain on consumers. In tandem with these price hikes, a series of noteworthy developments have surfaced: motherboard manufacturers have reinitiated production of DDR4 memory-compatible motherboards, while NVIDIA has also revived manufacturing of its RTX 3060 graphics cards—a model introduced five years prior—to mitigate the impact of rising memory costs.
