As per a Reuters report dated January 1, TSMC announced on that very day that it had been granted an annual license by the U.S. government. This license permits TSMC to ship chip - manufacturing equipment, which is produced in the United States, to its Nanjing factory. In its official statement, TSMC highlighted that this development would guarantee the seamless operation of the wafer - fabrication plant and the uninterrupted delivery of its products. It's worth noting that prior to this, Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix had also successfully acquired similar licenses.
