On December 31, 2025, Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs Karelmans declared that stringent measures against Nexperia were indeed necessary. In response, a spokesperson for China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) pointed out that China has consistently highlighted how the Dutch side's unwarranted administrative meddling in Nexperia's internal operations has sparked a global semiconductor supply chain crisis, for which the Dutch side must assume full accountability. Despite the global industry's growing concerns and unease, the Dutch side has remained obstinate, showing neither a responsible stance towards the security of the global semiconductor production and supply chain nor taking any meaningful steps to address the issue. China once again urges the Dutch side to abandon its arbitrary and unreasonable behavior, promptly rectify its mistakes, and remove barriers to restoring the stability and security of the global semiconductor production and supply chain.
