On December 30, Reuters reported that according to sources familiar with the matter, the U.S. government has issued annual licenses to Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, allowing them to export chip manufacturing equipment to their Chinese factories through 2026. Previously, the U.S. revoked license exemptions for some tech companies earlier this year, and this approval has provided temporary relief to Samsung and SK Hynix.
