Recently, a number of lithium iron phosphate producers, such as Hunan Yueli, Wanrun New Energy, Defang Nano, and Anda Technology, have declared production suspensions for maintenance purposes. Wanrun New Energy clarified that, at present, only a portion of its production lines are undergoing maintenance, a situation that has no bearing on the fulfillment of its overall orders and shipments. The production reductions implemented by these leading firms are primarily attributed to the need for equipment maintenance and upkeep, as well as the cumulative pressures stemming from the price surges of upstream raw materials like lithium carbonate, coupled with the downstream sector's reluctance to absorb cost increases. An official from an industry association remarked that the manufacturers' decision to halt production for maintenance represents a move made out of necessity.
